I also ran "Enable-WindowsOptionalFeature -Online -FeatureName:Microsoft-Hyper-V -All" to make sure it was enabled I have an AMD B450 motherboard so in the BIOS I enabled SVM and AMD CPU fTPM The Virtual Machine Management Service failed to start the virtual machine 'Ubuntu 20.04' because one of the Hyper-V components is not running (Virtual machine ID 0B08474C-B4FE-48C5-983B-433E4D83E15A). When I try to start Ubuntu though I get this error message:įailed to start the virtual machine 'Ubuntu 20.04' because one of the Hyper-V components is not running.

I was so excited to see that Hyper-V had a quick create button for Ubuntu that downloads and sets it up automatically so I used that. I dont want to download something that I will only use once so I decided to use Hyper-V since it is already included in Windows 10. I have a homework assignment that I need to use Linux for so I want to use a VM to run it.
